Frame App 7.0.31 (Tech Preview #3)

Added:

  • Ability for users to configure the option to Clear cache on startup via Settings > Preferences.

  • Administrators can now centrally configure and enforce the following setting via registry keys and configuration files. Please check our documentation for configuration details.

    • CLEAR_CACHE_ON_STARTUP

  • Administrators can now configure and enforce the following setting via command line arguments. Please check our documentation for configuration details.

    • --CLEAR-CACHE-ON-STARTUP
Considerations
  1. With Frame App 7.0, each command line argument must have a corresponding value so that administrators can force an OFF value.
  2. Settings configured via registry keys, preferences.plist, and preferences.conf take precedence over command line arguments.
  3. Users will be unable to change settings from the Frame App GUI if they are configured via registry keys, preferences.plist, and preferences.conf or command line arguments.
  • [Windows] Support for FIDO2/WebAuthn hardware authentication tokens (YubiKey).

Known Limitations:

  • [Linux] Automatic updates are disabled by design for Linux endpoints.

  • [macOS] Kiosk mode is not supported with this release. Will be available in future release.

  • [macOS][Linux] FIDO2/WebAuthn hardware authentication tokens are not supported with this release. Will be available in future release.
