Multiple Monitors
Multi-display configurations are useful for a variety of end user workflows. Frame's multi-monitor feature allows users to connect up to 4 displays at a time. End users may configure the display order as desired while in the session.
Frame App supports the Frame multi-monitor feature automatically. If an end user has more than one monitor attached to their device, Frame App prompts the user if they want to use all of their monitors. Frame Administrators do not have to enable explicitly multi-monitor support for Frame App users.
Enable Multi-monitor Support
For customers who are only using browser-based Frame Terminal, Administrators can enable multi-monitor for their end users by adding an Advanced Terminal Argument in Session Settings.
At this time, multi-monitor support in web browsers is available to end users using Google Chrome or Chromium-based Edge.
Administrators must confirm that the multi-monitor limitations with web browsers is acceptable to their end users before enabling multi-monitor support.
- Navigate to the “Settings” page in the account Dashboard. From there, click on the “Session” tab.
- Scroll down to the "Advanced Options" section and enter
multiMonitor
in the "Advanced Terminal Arguments" field. Click "Save" in the upper right corner.
Now your end users using a web browser can have multiple displays in their Frame session.
